Excellence in Perioperative Care - Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement

We are delighted to invite you to join us for the 3rd annual Princess Alexandra Anaesthetic Conference (PAAC): Excellence in Perioperative Care. Clinical excellence requires the combination of modern therapy and a culture of continuous quality improvement. Learn from both international and local experts in the field about state of the art perioperative care and strategies to improve this practice through Quality Assurance, all whilst attracting CPD points for practice evaluation, knowledge and skills, and emergency response.

For a busy anaesthetic practitioner, attending the PAAC provides the opportunity to take some much-needed time away from routine work and reflect on the nature of our practice, to share ideas and experiences with colleagues to learn and evolve as better practitioners.

I look forward to welcoming you to the PAAC 2017.

CONFERENCE VENUE

The conference will be at the Translational Research Institute (TRI) on the Princess Alexandra (PA) Hospital Campus. Map of PAH Campus and TRI.

PROGRAM

Nested within TRI, a centre of academic excellence, the PAAC will cover both a range of core topics (perioperative acute kidney injury, anaphylaxis, ANZCA’s vision for perioperative medicine, novel anticoagulants), practice evaluation (Webairs, morbidity and mortality), and workshops for emergency response and more! Relax post conference at the cocktail reception in the idyllic surroundings of the TRI.

This year tailored sessions on morbidity and mortality cases with audience interaction will attract ANZCA CPD quality assurance points. Demands for workshops are high and participant’s places are limited. Therefore I urge you to register at the earliest opportunity in order to secure the place of your choice.
